KATHERINE QUINN
Katherine Quinn lives in Paki Paki on a little hill in the New Zealand countryside with her family and cat Rosie, who is scared of everything except bulls. She has been drawing for as long as she can remember.
Her illustrations are intelligent observations offering a fresh take on their subject matter. Working in both traditional and digital illustration, Katherine works in acrylic and watercolour pencils.
Katherine’s illustrations and patterns are much-loved around the world. She loves the technical process of working out a repeat pattern. The satisfaction of getting everything to fit and then repeating over and over fills her with joy.
Her fully illustrated picture books include ‘Pets and their Famous Humans’ and ‘The Secrets of Magnolia Moon’ with two new titles coming out in 2021.
Clients include Walker Books Australia, Zahori Books, Roger La Borde, Cote Bordeau, Paperie, Paper Products Design, IKEA, and Windham Fabrics.
Katherine Quinn's work is highly original, often witty, and always charming with a distinctive colour palette and clear signature style.
