ANNA STEAD

Anna is an illustrator working from her home in the beautiful North Cotswolds. She draws inspiration from nature, legend, history, folklore, literature, folk art and the mythic arts. She has a background in medieval studies and is a lover of fantasy literature. Anna can be found with a cat in her lap, playing video games or sketching on her iPad whenever she gets a chance.

Professionally, Anna would love to illustrate books about fairytales, myths or legends. Her most ambitious dream would be to illustrate an edition by one of her favourite authors.

Outside work she enjoys embroidery, writing, being out in the wild, going to museums, watching a good box set and taking her children on adventures.

“I love being out in the wild, but also being cosy inside with a candle burning.”
