We are celebrating! Our wonderful artist Jenny Zemanek has been nominated for an awards as part of the Midwest Book Awards for Best Cover Design.

Jenny's cover art for ‘Middle School is No Place for Magic’
by Mimi Olson and published by Fifth Avenue Press has grabbed the judges attention. It is one of three finalists in this category. 

It has also been nominated for Best Young Adult Fiction.

“I was so excited to learn this cover is a finalist in the Midwest Book Awards! I feel extremely lucky as an avid reader and book lover to be able to create artwork for stories that are going to find their way into the hands and hearts of readers far and wide.

“‘Middle School is No Place for Magic’ was a brief full of whimsy and fun when it came across my desk, promising me the opportunity to explore vibrant colors, create playful, bouncy lettering, and make use of a wide range of exciting imagery full of movement and motion.

2024 marks the 34th year of the MBAs. The awards recognise creativity in content and execution, overall book quality, and the book’s unique contribution to its subject area.
