House of Cards featured on Card & Gift Blog
A couple of years ago, Jehane was invited to write a feature on licensing your designs for Sarah Hamilton’s book “House of Cards”. Charlotte Biggs, founder of Card & Gift Blog, was gifted a copy of the book by Jehane at the time it was published - it sat patiently on Charlotte’s desk waiting and waiting for her to read the book.
And now Charlotte has written a fabulously comprehensive review on her blog She has been working in the card and gift industry for 14+ years and since 2009 has used all her insider knowledge to help card and gift businesses grow with online marketing and commerce.
Here’s a snippet from Charlotte’s blog - it’s highly informative and will inspire both greeting-card beginners and those with a good few years behind them in the industry!
“The book is a great introduction to the greeting card industry and a world of creativity.
There’s no doubt that House of Cards has been created with care. Sarah’s passion for greeting cards, artists, handmade products, independents and the creative process shines through on every page..

Introduces You to the World of Licensing
“For those not wanting to sell cards themselves licensing is a great option. In House of Cards the Licensing section of the book is written by Jehane Boden Spiers.
For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure to come across her work, Jehane is a textile designer, artists’ agent and mentor with over 15 years experience as an art licensing agent and 25 years exhibiting and licensing her own designs. As well as being a thoroughly lovely person Jehane is a treasure trove of info when it comes to licensing.
In her section of the House of Cards book, Jehane breaks down what can be a complicated topic into an easy to understand introduction. Providing an ideal way for readers to discover an alternative income stream greeting card design can offer”
